Mr. Terence Jagger CBE is the Chief Executive of Crown Agents.
Prior to his current appointment, he pursued a career in financial public relations and strategic planning, working for companies such as Shell, American Express, Burmah Oil and Unigate, as well as a small city consultancy. During this stage of his career, he spent two years in Australia with Shell, and several months in Italy working on the privatisation of Banca Commerciale Italiana.

He then joined the Ministry of Defence where he ran the Department’s private finance programme and then managed the privatisation of the QinetiQ research company. In 2003, he spent a year at the Royal College of Defence Studies, visiting Central Asia and the eastern Mediterranean, and writing his research paper on the economic basis of different countries’ contributions to NATO. He has twice been a Command Secretary to the RAF, and in 2006-2007 he spent a year in Afghanistan as the political advisor to the NATO commander in Kabul. Subsequently, he returned to the UK to manage the Ministry of Defence’s financial systems and the production of their annual accounts.

In 2003 Mr. Jagger was awarded the CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire). He has been a Director and Trustee of several charitable and commercial organisations, including the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, the Meteorological Office and the London Library.

Mr. Jagger has a degree in History from Magdalen College Oxford and Masters degrees in Finance from the London Business School and in International Relations from Kings College London.
